An Attempt at Counting Infinity
Made during an access_analysis course at DAE (Design Academy Eindhoven).
The assignment was to choose a topic, which is hard to find information about, and try to access and analyse it's information infrastructure.
I chose to access the topic of the amount of stars in the observable universe. The research resulted in a mini publication (6x10 cm in size) and includes a collection of writings, thoughts, speculations, cultural references and star maps from different periods of time. All together they show how the act of looking to the horizons, counting stars and trying to quantify the unknown, are acts deeply engraved in humanity from ancient times until toady.
